NormVsCancer is a dynamic piece of comedic theatre
about the courage to live fully in the face of adversity.
It entertains, challenges, and brings inspiration to the fight against cancer,
making one very scary disease a real laughing matter.
What’s the story?
After visiting the doctor and discussing the possibility of having cancer, Norm wakes up at 3 AM and hallucinates a journey inside his own body. All of his organs come to life and Norm must find the cancer and kill it before it kills him.
Over the course of one adrenaline-packed hour, Robert Hawke portrays 14 different body organs – from the Kidney obsessed with interior decorating, to Norm’s misguided Brain, and even “The Big C” itself – in this critically-acclaimed show.
Core audience members include doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, as well as cancer survivors and their families.
